Supporting your mental health journey with expert therapy

I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and change. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their inner selves and overcome personal challenges. I offer individual counselling for adults and students from the age of 14 .
Supportive work to quiet self-doubt, identify obstacles, and build a clearer, more fulfilling path forward.
A safe, non-judgmental space to explore identity, expression, and relationship questions at your own pace.
If you find yourself struggling to build deep emotional intimacy or feel disconnected in your closest relationships.
Calm, practical care for nervous-system overwhelm, persistent worry, and low mood, helping you find manageable steps back to balance.
Steady, honest support to help you process deep wounds and move toward freedom from destructive patterns.
Compassionate accompaniment through the physical and emotional upheaval of loss, illness, and major life changes.
Find support and guidance during challenging transitions such as divorce, career changes, and more.
Warm, skills-based guidance to rebuild trust, set healthy boundaries, and understand your patterns in connection.

Gentle, practical guidance to help you bring the insights and breakthroughs from intensive weekends and circle work into everyday life, creating lasting habits and healthier relationships.
Whether you have a diagnosis of ADHD or Autism, or are simply exploring your neurodivergence, I offer an affirming space that focuses on your strengths. We creatively adapt tools to suit your unique sensory and cognitive needs.
Understanding the unique pressures of the mental health field, I provide dedicated personal therapy and supervision for fellow practitioners. This confidential space is designed to help clinicians process vicarious trauma, manage complex countertransference, and mitigate systemic burnout.

I trained in Counselling at Johns Hopkins University in the USA, and built on that with hands-on clinical work at treatment centres in Arizona and the UK, working with complex trauma, depression, and addiction.
After moving to England in 2001, I’ve focused on supporting people with self-confidence, neurodiversity, and relationship issues.
Alongside my private practice for the past 20 years I have also incorporated working as a School Counsellor in Dorset — in a private boarding school and a state special needs school — which has shaped my practical, flexible approach with neurodivergent young people and adults.
I specialize in treating Boarding School Syndrome, helping clients navigate the attachment wounds and emotional intimacy barriers that often impact their adult relationships.
I’ve attended men’s work retreats myself, so I know firsthand how powerful they can be. I help men and women who’ve had those experiences to safely make sense of what came up and turn breakthroughs into everyday habits.
I also offer therapy and clinical supervision for mental health and healthcare professionals. I understand the pressures of this work and provide a confidential space to deal with vicarious trauma, burnout, and the tricky emotions that come up when working with others.
Online: Worldwide via secure platforms
For those who prefer to meet from the comfort of their own home, or for those outside the Dorset area, I offer secure video sessions. These provide the same level of confidentiality and focus as my in-person room, tailored to your sensory and environmental needs.
In Person: Based In Poole, Dorset
Our sessions take place in a purpose-built garden room—a dedicated sanctuary designed for quiet focus and sensory comfort. Tucked away from the noise of the house and the street, this light-filled, private space allows you to connect with nature while we work through your challenges in total confidentiality.

Harry has been and continues to be the best!
He is a warm, kind , and highly experienced therapist who helps you feel at ease straight away.
The garden room is a lovely place to be in whilst doing the work.
Harry is endlessly patient, calm and deeply empathic. I’ve also enjoyed some laughter with him at times although he is completely serious when needed.
He has helped me so much with looking into myself and at various issues with such skill.
Sessions feel like a lovely lifeline and I would highly recommend him to anyone considering therapy.

1. I’ve never been to therapy before. What happens in the first session?
Our first meeting is a relaxed "getting to know you" session. We’ll discuss what’s bringing you to therapy now and what you hope to achieve. There’s no pressure to have all the answers; it’s simply a space for us to see if we feel like a good "fit" for working together.
2. How do you adapt your approach for neurodivergent clients?
I move away from the "one size fits all" model. We can adapt our sessions to suit your sensory needs—whether that’s using soft lighting in the garden room, allowing for movement/stimming, or using visual tools like "Spoon Theory" to discuss energy management. I focus on affirming your neurotype, not "fixing" it.
3. Is the garden room really private?
Yes, absolutely. The consulting room is a separate, soundproofed building located in a private garden with its own entrance. It was specifically designed to ensure that our conversations remain completely confidential and that you feel a clear sense of separation from the outside world.
Accessibility: The path to the garden room is level; however, if you have specific mobility requirements or use a wheelchair, please let me know in advance so I can ensure the space is fully prepared for your comfort.
4. How long does therapy last?
This is entirely up to you. Some clients come for a few months to work through a specific challenge like a life transition, while others prefer ongoing, long-term support for deeper exploration. We will review our progress regularly to ensure you’re getting exactly what you need.
5. Do you offer online sessions as well as in-person?
Yes. I provide secure, encrypted video sessions for those who prefer to meet from their own familiar environment or those living outside of Poole and Bournemouth. Many clients find the "comfort of home" helps them open up more easily.
6. What are your fees and how do I pay?
Sessions are £70 for 50 minutes. Payment can be made via bank transfer. I offer a free 15-minute introductory call so we can meet briefly before you commit to a full session.
